Introducing Dr Abdelmoneim Mahmoud, Cairo Textile Week 2026 Speaker
Dr. Abd-El Moneim Mahmoud is a consultant of nanotechnology, materials science, and textile finishing & printing. Serving as the Executive Director of SPI Company and the Advanced Textile Laboratory (ATL), his career bridges advanced chemical research with real-world industrial textile applications.
Academic Excellence and Professional Foundations
Dr. Mahmoud built a strong academic foundation starting with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Mansoura University. To deepen his specialization, he pursued postgraduate diplomas in Chemical Textile Finishing (Faculty of Applied Arts), Biochemistry (Suez University), and Nanotechnology & Materials Science.
He earned both his Master’s and Ph.D. degrees in, focusing on chemistry of textile processing. His doctoral dissertation focused on using nanotechnology to synthesize in both non-aqueous and aqueous compounds for textile processing and creating innovative printing inks.
A consultant in textile printing and finishing as well as nanotechnology, Dr. Mahmoud is a registered member of the Scientific Professions Syndicate (Chemistry Division No. 20972). He is a fellow of the Egyptian Chemical Fellowship and the Union of Arab Chemists, and actively represents Egyptian science at international forums such as FESPA (Europe) and SGIA (USA). His contributions have earned him honors from Mansoura University, Assiut University, the Scientific Professions Syndicate, the Egyptian Chemical Fellowship, and the Union of Arab Chemists.
Dr Abdel Monein will lecture at Cairo Textile Week on 26 September, 2026 at the Dyeing and Finishing Symposium. His lecture is titled : Advanced Textile Finishes
